Privacy Policy for CurveUp Finance

CurveUp (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the CurveUp Finance mobile application (the “App”). The App is used by employees of organizations that use CurveUp, and by clients of CurveUp projects through the Client Portal. This page explains what personal data the App collects, how we use it, and who it is shared with.

Information We Collect

Account and Contact Information

Name and email address: used to identify you and sign you in.
User ID and organization membership: used to manage your account, your session and what you can see in the App.

Financial and Workplace Records (employees)

Expense claims and petty cash records: amounts, descriptions, dates and the project or category you choose.
Leave requests and attendance records: dates, status and approvals.

Photos and Files

Receipt images: photos you choose to attach to an expense claim, taken with the camera or picked from your photo library. Only the images you select are uploaded. We do not access the rest of your photo library.
Files you upload: for example, a file you attach to a deliverable submission in the Client Portal.

Content You Create

Messages and submissions: Client Portal chat messages, deliverable submissions, and session preparation and feedback forms. Employees may also create tasks, announcements and similar content.

Device Information

Device identifier and push notification token: used to send push notifications to your device.

Diagnostics

Crash logs and technical details: such as device model, operating system version and app version, collected to find and fix bugs.

We do not collect your location, contacts, health data, browsing history or advertising identifier, and the App contains no advertising.

How We Use Your Information

We use the data you provide only to run the App:

Authenticating you and managing accounts
Processing leave requests, attendance and expense claims
Delivering Client Portal features such as chat, deliverables and sessions
Sending push notifications and reminders about your requests and activity
Monitoring app stability and fixing issues

We do not use your data for advertising or marketing, and we do not use it to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf, only to operate the App:

Sentry: receives crash and error reports so we can fix bugs.
Apple and Google push notification services: deliver push notifications to your device.
Hosting and infrastructure providers that store the App’s data on our servers.

Within the App, your data is visible to the people your organization authorizes. For employees, this means your organization’s administrators and approvers. For clients, this means the CurveUp team working on your project.

We may disclose information if the law requires it.

Data Security

Data sent between the App and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS (TLS). Sign-in tokens are stored on your device using the operating system’s secure storage. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, but no system is completely secure.

Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App and meet our legal and record-keeping obligations. Your organization’s administrator manages employee accounts and can ask us to delete them. Client Portal users can ask us directly using the contact details below.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Ask us to correct inaccurate data
Ask us to delete your data
Object to or restrict certain uses of your data

To exercise these rights, contact your organization’s administrator or write to us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Children

The App is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be communicated in the App or by email.
